PLAYERS

Touch Football is played throughout Canada in schools and community organizations among youth and adults. Touch is accessible and affordable, as the rules can be altered to fit the group and the only equipment needed is the football.
In a recreational setting, players can put the game together pretty quickly.
Traditionally played with seven a side, the number can readily be adjusted. The players can vary the game further by choosing to play ‘one hand’ or ‘two hand’ touch. The 110 x 65 yard field size can be adjusted according to the number of and ability of players as well as what is available.
Organized leagues are commonly divided into competitive and recreation brackets. Competitive is played at high school, intramural and adult levels and normally run 6-10 week sessions in spring or fall.
Football Canada is interested in hearing from Touch Football Players. A survey was released late summer to find the location of different levels of Touch leagues and tournaments across Canada.
