ABOUT US
Football Canada is the National Governing Body of Canadian Amateur Football which has a current membership that represents Flag, Touch, and Tackle football components, including players, coaches, officials, and administrators in Canada.
Football Canada continues to help develop resources and training opportunities for community and school sport programs; to develop and deliver the National Coaching Certification Program; to promote gender equity within the association; to cultivate the principles of fair play; to enforce a doping-free policy by adopting the Canadian Anti-Doping Program as endorsed by Sport Canada, and is also currently working to develop and deliver Flag Football Programs that specifically meet the sport and recreational needs of Canada’s Aboriginal Peoples, the Boys and Girls Club of Canada and Special Olympics Canada.
CANADIAN FOOTBALL FORUM - EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
As part of the NFL and CFL’s ongoing commitment to foster the growth and development of football across Canada, the two leagues established a working council. Within this context, the two leagues commissioned, with the support of Football Canada, an organizational review of the latter. The resulting report identified as the first of six recommendations, the value of holding a national forum.
