HISTORY

The Can-Am Bowl is an annual football game played between graduated all-star players from the United States and Canada. The game is hosted by a program in Saskatchewan. In the United States, Texas, New Mexico, Montana, Kansas, Nebraska, and Colorado currently have teams with numerous other states starting programs up.  

The Can-Am Bowl began in July of 1997 when an American All-star team made the trip to Canada to play a Saskatchewan All-star team in Porcupine Plain, Saskatchewan hosted by Bjorkdale. The USA won that inaugural game 40 - 22.

Porcupine Plain hosted Can-Am Bowl II which the USA won 72 - 12.

Outlook (LCBI) would host Can-Am Bowl III with the USA winning 49 - 48 in an overtime thriller.   

Canada would get their first victory in Can-Am Bowl IV when Eatonia hosted the game, winning 28 - 6.

Carrot River hosted Can-Am Bowl V which the USA won 23 - 18.

Central Butte would be the hosts of Can-Am Bowl VI with the USA emerging victorious 67-30.

Watrous would host Can-Am Bowl VII which the USA won 40 - 20.

Outlook were the hosts of Can-Am Bowl VIII in 2004 and Team Canada would earn its second victory 61 - 28.

Raymore were the hosts of the Can-Am Bowl IX, with Canada earning their second straight victory with a 27 - 15 win in 2005.

Team USA won 20 - 8 in Kelliher 2006 - Can-Am Bowl X.

Team Canada won Can-Am XI  - Canada 46 USA 14 in Central Butte under the lights for the first time in the game's history.

Team USA won Can-Am XII 42-31 in Porcupine Plain 2008.  It came down to the last play of the game.

What a game in Carrot River. In a close game Team Canada won CanAm XIII by a score of 17-16. This game was one for the ages.

 Only at the end of the final whistle will we find out which country will be crowned the CanAm Bowl XIV winners.
