“The Canadian Junior Football League provides the opportunity for young men aged 17 to 22 to participate in highly competitive post-high school football that is unique in Canada. The goal of the league is to foster community involvement and yield a positive environment by teaching discipline, perseverance and cooperation. The benefits of the league are strong camaraderie, national competition and life-long friends.”

The history of this league goes back to 1890 and perhaps to an earlier date. Players from our league have served in two world wars, the Korean conflict and in peacekeeping activities around the world. They are or have been politicians, firemen, policemen, doctors, lawyers, bookkeepers, storekeepers and football players. They come from every walk of life to play this great game of Canadian football. The Canadian Junior Football League Alumni are ‘Warriors from the Past Keeping the Tradition Alive’.

The Canadian Bowl is the championship game usually hosted in November of each year.

QUEBEC JUNIOR FOOTBALL LEAGUE (QJFL)

This league has been in existence since 1908. It has had different names & teams over the years. Over the years it has served many different geographic areas of Ontario & Quebec . The one common denominator is that it has provided an excellent football program for young men between 18 & 22 years of age.

Each year the league awards the Cyril F. White Trophy named after a founding President of the league to the team that wins the regular season schedule.

The QJFL also awards a trophy to the team that wins the playoffs each year, which is emblematic of the QJFL championship. The trophy is named after one of the major sponsors “Manson Insulation”. They have been a proud sponsor of the QJFL for the past 12 years.
